Pres. Biden is getting ready to issue COVID vax mandate for cross-border truckers, potentially worsening the supply chain crisis

President Joe Biden is issuing yet another coronavirus vaccine mandate.

Breitbart reports that Biden is going to issue a coronavirus vaccine mandate for those looking to enter the United States via land ports of entry. 

There will be, however, one notable exception. Can you guess what it is?

Some specifics

Biden and his administration first revealed this coronavirus vaccine mandate back in August.

This one, in particular, is going to be for essential foreign travelers. So, it only applies to non-U.S. nationals, not American citizens or permanent residents.

Some groups that will be subject to the mandate are government and emergency response officials. But, the big ones are owner-operators and independent truckers drivers. Many are wondering whether this will make the supply crisis that we have been witnessing even worse, should a sizable portion of truck drivers decide not to get the jab.

Norita Taylor, a spokeswoman for the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, is already warning that “these requirements are another example of how impractical regulations will send safe drivers off the road.”

This coronavirus vaccine mandate will go into effect on January 22nd. Those subjected to the mandate will have to get fully vaccinated before then.

The exception

Notably, the group that will not be subjected to this coronavirus vaccine mandate are illegal aliens.

For months now, the Biden administration has been criticized for this glaring double-standard of requiring Americans, foreign travelers, and others to follow restrictive coronavirus measures but not those who have been entering the country illegally. This criticism particularly picked up after reports that the Biden administration was releasing large numbers of illegal aliens, including many with the coronavirus, into American communities.

The Biden administration, nonetheless, has brushed off the criticism, and it has refused to issue any kind of coronavirus mandate for illegal aliens. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded to this criticism in September by arguing that no mandates are necessary because the illegal aliens are “not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time.”

Instead of mandates, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has merely been offering coronavirus vaccines to illegal aliens, which is the exact choice that many legal Americans would like to have.
