Biden admin. comes out in support of Big Tech’s censorship of Trump

The Trump-Russia collusion theory turned out to be nonsense, but Biden-Big Tech collusion might not be.

This week, the administration of President Joe Biden came out in support of Big Tech’s censorship efforts, confirming what Donald Trump warned Americans about for months.

Reducing “hate speech”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked at Monday’s press briefing to give the Biden administration’s position on Twitter’s decision to permanently ban former President Donald Trump from its platform.

Psaki, in her response, emphasized that the decision was “made by Twitter,” but she also made it clear that the Biden administration certainly isn’t against the move.

“We’ve certainly spoken to, and he’s spoken for the need for social media platforms to continue to take steps to reduce hate speech, but we don’t have more for you on it than that,” Psaki said.

She continued: “This may be hard to believe. We don’t spend a lot of time talking about or thinking about President Trump here — former President Trump — to be very clear. I can’t say we miss him on Twitter.”

The conservative “purge”

Trump was censored by Twitter following the Capitol riot that took place on January 6th. The social media site claimed that this move was necessary to prevent further violence, even though Trump specifically called for peace in the Twitter messages leading up to his ban.

Project Veritas subsequently published leaked video footage in which Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey made it clear that the censorship of Trump was only the beginning, implying that the outlet has plans to censor more conservatives in the future.

“We are focused on one account right now, but this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and go on beyond the inauguration,” Dorsey said.

A collaboration

Trump was also banned by Facebook, and just this week Project Veritas published leaked more video footage this time of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. In the video, Zuckerberg says that he thinks the ban of Trump was right and that he looks forward to working with the Biden administration.

“I think these were all important and positive steps, and I’m looking forward to opportunities where Facebook can work together with this new administration on some of their top priorities, starting with the COVID response,” Zuckerburg said.

Before Biden took office, several outlets reported that a number of Big Tech executives were part of his team. It sure looks as though the pieces are in place for Biden-Big Tech collusion. It could already be happening for all we know.
