Former top Clinton aide claims ex-president visited Epstein’s private island

Former President Bill Clinton is one of the high-profile figures linked to disgraced and deceased Democratic financier Jeffrey Epstein, even rumored to have traveled to the convicted pedophile’s private Caribbean island.

Although the Clinton family has formally denied those accusations, a former top aide recently confirmed that the former president did make at least one trip to what has become known as “Pedophile Island.”

Band contradicts Clinton’s prior denials

Doug Band made his revelation in a rare interview after spending decades at Clinton’s side throughout the 1990s and into his post-presidency.

Though he became known as a close confidante and a formative figure behind the creation of the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation, Band was reportedly squeezed out of the family’s inner circle ahead of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 White House bid.

Speaking to Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair, Band opened up about his prior close connection to the ex-president, which was apparently severed when Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, stepped up to assume control of the family’s philanthropic efforts.

The resulting article also focused on the accusations regarding Epstein and his close associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. According to Band, he attempted to create distance between Clinton and the pair even before Epstein’s conviction.

He also accused Chelsea Clinton of befriending Maxwell, though the Clinton family has flatly denied that claim.

“The pain his infidelities had caused”

Nevertheless, Band confirmed told Sherman that the former president flew aboard Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the “Lolita Express,” on multiple occasions, a claim supported by data from relevant flight logs. He asserted that Clinton also visited Epstein’s island in January 2003, noting that he did not accompany his boss on that trip.

Bill Clinton’s pattern of extramarital affairs seems to have continued while his wife served as the Obama administration’s secretary of state, according to Band’s account of a 2011 feud between himself and Chelsea Clinton.

As Sherman wrote: “Band told Clinton that he believed he was allowing Chelsea to destroy Band’s reputation because, deep down, Clinton was guilty for the pain his infidelities had caused the family.”

The writer added that Band advised Clinton to “divorce Hillary and move on with his life” if he wanted to continue pursuing girlfriends, an exchange that appeared to fundamentally change their relationship.

In response to separate allegations earlier this year that Clinton had visited Epstein’s island, a spokesperson said: “The story keeps changing, the facts don’t. President Clinton has never been to the island.”
