Fox News host attacks Trump, says he ‘can’t wrap his brain’ around losing

An increasing number of Fox News’ on-air personalities have been directing criticism towards President Donald Trump in recent months.

America’s News HQ host Eric Shawn joined the list on Sunday when he accused Trump of being unable to cope with having lost the election.

Shawn began the segment by playing a clip of the president telling fellow Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that the vote this year “was a total fraud,” Breitbart reported.

“You just take a look at just about every state that we’re talking about, every swing state that we’re talking about, and they did these massive dumps of votes and all of a sudden I went from winning by a lot to losing by a little,” Trump said.

Campaign failing to prove fraud

Shawn responded harshly to those claims from the president, accusing him of making “unsupported, reckless and incendiary” about America’s political process.

“All this despite the fact that his campaign has failed to prove any of this in court,” the host continued. In fact, legal challenges filed by the president and his allies in a number of key states are still ongoing.

“It seems that we have a president who, he can’t wrap his brain or mind around the fact, he can’t process that someone who he thinks is so inferior to him won the election,” Shawn concluded.

Other hosts pile on

Shawn isn’t alone in showing hostility to claims of voting irregularities. On Nov. 9, Fox Business host Neil Cavuto cut away from White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany as she made accusations of fraud against Democrats.

“She is charging that the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting,” Cavuto complained. “Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continuing showing you this.”

He added, “Maybe they do have something to back that up, but that’s an explosive charge to make that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating.”

Yet another Trump critic on the network is Chris Wallace, who publicly blamed the president for how the debate that he moderated turned out.

The cable network’s growing anti-Trump sentiment likely explains the success of competitors like Newsmax, which is seeing viewership increase.
