Trump confirms banning Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-A-Lago years ago

President Donald Trump confirmed in remarks to reporters at the White House on Friday that he threw Jeffrey Epstein out of his Mar-A-Lago resort years ago, the Daily Caller reported.

“I was not a fan of Jeffrey Epstein, and you watched people yesterday saying that I threw him out of a club,” Trump told reporters as he was leaving the White House. “I didn’t want anything to do with him. That was many, many years ago. It shows you one thing, that I have good taste. Okay?”

Trump’s ban of Epstein was first mentioned by a lawyer for Epstein’s victims in court documents. The ban has not been confirmed by Mar-A-Lago.

The president has insisted that he never visited Epstein’s private island, where he is alleged to have sex trafficked underage girls for decades. “I was never there,” Trump declared.

Tossed out

Trump also referenced comments by James Patterson about his decision to throw Epstein out of Mar-A-Lago. “In fact, I think the great James Patterson, who is a member of Mar-a-Lago, made a statement yesterday that many years ago I threw him out,” Trump went on.

While it has been documented that former President Bill Clinton and various Hollywood celebrities flew on Epstein’s plane and spent time at his island, no Trump contact with Epstein subsequent to the Mar-A-Lago incident has come to light.

Trump also said Epstein was “not somebody I respected.” So much for the media trying to link Epstein to Trump because of one comment he made 15 years ago about the billionaire pedophile being a nice guy and liking younger women.

In fact, some in conservative media have speculated that the only reason Epstein was arrested and charged with sex trafficking of children was because the left thought there might be  potential to implicate Trump as being guilty simply by virtue of past association with Epstein.

In announcing the new charges against Epstein, MSNBC’s headline read, “Jeffrey Epstein, called ‘terrific’ by Trump, charged with sex trafficking.” There was, of course, no accompanying mention of longtime Epstein buddies Bill and Hillary Clinton or any of the other high-profile names that have been revealed in court documents.

Acosta resigns

Trump accepted the resignation on Friday of Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who gave Epstein a sweetheart deal a decade ago that saw him do only 13 months in prison despite the mountain of evidence against him that existed at the time.

Acosta was the top federal prosecutor in South Florida at the time of those charges. Epstein now faces a new round of federal child sex trafficking charges that could get him up to 45 years in prison which, at his age, would essentially be a life sentence.

How much more could Trump accomplish on behalf of the American people if he didn’t have to waste time proving his innocence of whatever far-fetched accusation the liberals decide to hurl at him next?
