Democrats are losing their minds over the fact that 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of murder charges last week.
After the not-guilty verdict was announced, Democrats in Congress were quick to condemn the decision, with some even calling for a federal review of the case by President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ).
“A miscarriage of justice”
Leading the calls, according to the Washington Examiner, is New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Democrat who’s probably best known for his active participation in former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial over allegations of wrongdoing during a phone call with Ukraine leaders.
He currently serves as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
According to the Examiner, Nadler took to social media to express his displeasure with the results of the Rittenhouse case.
“This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ,” Nadler said in a tweet. “Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest.”

Of course, Nadler’s characterization of the case is far from accurate, but it’s just par for the course on the left. Even Vice President Kamala Harris has chimed in.
“The verdict really speaks for itself,” she said, according to Fox News. “As many of you know, I’ve spent a majority of my career working to make the criminal justice system more equitable, and clearly, there’s a lot more work to do.”
Many Democrats claim Rittenhouse is a “white supremacist” who should have been punished for shooting three people — all of whom were white — amid unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin last summer, two fatally. Because the jury believed Rittenhouse’s argument that he acted in self defense, Dems say the entire justice system is racist.

The judge. The jury. The defendant. It’s white supremacy in action. This system isn’t built to hold white supremacists accountable. It’s why Black and brown folks are brutalized and put in cages while white supremacist murderers walk free. I’m hurt. I’m angry. I’m heartbroken.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) put it more succinctly. “Racism [and] white supremacy remain the bedrock of our legal system,” she said in a tweet, according to the Washington Examiner.
You can’t make this stuff up.
