In another bizarre occurrence, President Joe Biden was apparently prevented by staff members from taking questions during a Capitol Hill caucus meeting, Breitbart reports.
The incident was just the latest in a string of recent occurrences that has many wondering what’s really happening behind the scenes in Joe Biden’s White House.
Breitbart cited a tweet from Politico writer Sarah Ferris, who wrote that staffers “jumped in” when the president offered to take questions from members of the media. “He didn’t take any questions,” she added.
Not the first time
Fox News reported that prior to giving a press conference on Aug. 26, following the death of 13 U.S. service members in Afghanistan, the president told reporters that he had been told only to take questions from approved outlets.
“Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here,” Biden said, without explaining who “they” referred to. “The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell from NBC.”
The network noted that Biden made similar comments several days later while visiting the National Response Coordination Center at FEMA headquarters.
The president, at one point, told the press that he was “not supposed to take any questions,” and then walked away when they began asking about Afghanistan.
At yet another press conference, someone cut Biden’s audio after a reporter asked what he would do if Americans remained in Afghanistan following the withdrawal date.

They want answers
Those incidents, combined with the president’s long history of making bizarre and nonsensical statements, led Idaho Sen. James Risch (R) to wonder who might be really pulling Biden’s strings in the background.
“One of the things we need to get to the bottom to is who is responsible for this? Who made the decisions?” Risch said to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. “[Biden] can’t even speak without someone in the White House censoring it or signing off on it.”
“This is a puppeteer act, if you would, and we need to know who’s in charge and who is making the decisions,” Risch demanded.
