Tara Reade slams Biden for Cuomo remarks, says she’s been ‘publicly erased’ as a survivor

President Joe Biden may end up regretting his comments on the sexual harassment allegations against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) because his statements reminded his own accuser that her allegations were almost entirely ignored by the media.

On Friday, former Biden staffer Tara Reade spoke to Fox News regarding comments Biden had made earlier this week that she said contradicted how her sexual misconduct allegations against Biden were handled when he was a presidential candidate.

In speaking about Cuomo to ABC News on Wednesday, Biden said the governor should resign if an investigation confirms that any of the accusations are true.

“A woman should be presumed to be telling the truth and should not be scapegoated and become victimized by her coming forward,” he said. “But there should be an investigation to determine whether what she says is true. That’s what’s going on now.”

“Presumed to be telling the truth”

Reade pointed out the hypocrisy in Biden’s statement and the media’s negligence regarding her own sexual misconduct allegations against him.

The former Biden aide has accused him of sexually assaulting her in a Senate office in 1993, but her accusations were largely ignored by the media and the Biden campaign.

“The alarming deflection and compliance of the media to allow Joe Biden to negate his own sexual misconduct is predictable but still shocking as a survivor to be so publicly erased,” Reade told Fox News on Friday. “The trauma I experienced by Biden was very real. The fact he is calling for another official’s investigation and possible criminal sanctions for similar charges is showing the height of arrogance about never being accountable for his own.”

She continued, “Joe Biden got away with sexually harassing and assaulting me in 1993 and other women have also come forward with similar complaints. Joe Biden ascended to the Presidency anyway.”

Will Biden ever be investigated?

Reade said she believes Biden will eventually be forced to face up to his actions against her and other accusers.

“There will be a reckoning for Joe Biden one day for the sexual misconduct, the truth will prevail and he will not silence me,” she said.

Although Reade’s accusation against Biden has never been proven, several witnesses said she disclosed what happened to them soon after the alleged incident. A recorded Larry King radio show from the time also contains audio of Reade’s mother discussing a situation with her daughter and a prominent senator.

The fact that Biden was able to become president without a real investigation into the allegations against him shows the media’s stranglehold on truth and justice.
