According to the U.K.’s Independent, Geraldo Rivera has long described himself as a friend of President Donald Trump — but if that’s the case, it looks like the Fox News star just stabbed his friend in the back.
Rivera lashed out at Trump in a Saturday tweet claiming the president has “behaved like an entitled frat boy” in the wake of the 2020 election.

CBS News reported earlier this month that the Electoral College had voted 306–232 in favor of Democrat White House nominee Joe Biden, but that didn’t stop Trump from pushing forward with his claims that the match-up was “rigged.” As recently as Saturday, the president was castigating GOP senators on Twitter for not backing him in the fight for a free and fair election.

Later that day, Rivera took to Twitter himself — but the Fox host had a much different message about the 2020 race.
“For almost 4 years I’ve supported [Trump,] who was assailed by leftist creeps who conjured the Russia Hoax to wreck his presidency,” Rivera wrote. “Nevertheless he prevailed.”
Things have changed since then, however, Rivera contended. “Sadly, he lost a bitterly contested election,” the Fox host wrote of Trump. “S*** happens. However, since he has behaved like an entitled frat boy.”
“A pathetic lawyer”
In another tweet, Rivera took aim at attorney Sidney Powell, a Trump ally who Rivera slammed as “a pathetic lawyer who among others is working to destroy” the president’s legacy, as the Independent reported.
Powell came to national prominence for her defense of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and has since filed a number of lawsuits alleging, without evidence, that faulty voting machines tainted the results of this year’s presidential race.

Of course, while Rivera may consider himself a “friend” to the president, he’s had sharp words for him before — and in recent weeks, the Fox host’s frustration only seems to be escalating. After the president relented from a threat to hold up a government spending package over $600 coronavirus relief checks to Americans — an amount Trump wanted to see increased to $2,000 — Rivera said Trump was being “spiteful” and “petty.”
But it’s become clear over the last four years that President Trump doesn’t care what people think of him; instead, his priority lies solely in doing what’s best for the American people, whether the hosts at Fox like it or not.
