“We won the election easily,” President Donald Trump declared in his first one-on-one interview since Election Day.
The interview took place Sunday morning via telephone on Fox Business with “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo. While a number of topics were covered, it mainly focused on the 2020 election, which the president called a “fraud.”
“We won”
“There is no way that Joe Biden got 80 million votes,” Trump said. “I just said there is no way Joe Biden beat Barack Obama in the black communities of various cities and then he did very badly compared to Obama in other cities throughout the United States. There is no way it happened.”
“This election was a fraud. It was a rigged election,” the president added. Trump went into this “fraud” in some detail with Bartiromo, talking about the Democrat-backed expansions to the mail-in ballot system that made it possible.
“The mail-in ballots are a disaster,” the president said. “They sent millions and millions and millions of mail-in ballots. I’m sure you know people who got two, three, or four ballots because I do.” Watch the clip below:

“Suppression”
The president went on to express dissatisfaction with the courts, particularly those courts which have refused to allow his legal team to present evidence of fraud in the 2020 election.
“We’re trying to put the evidence in, and the judges won’t allow us to do it,” Trump said. “We have so much evidence. You probably saw Wednesday last week we had a hearing in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. … Unbelievable witnesses, highly-respected people, that were truly aggrieved.”
The president also took aim at the media, both social media and Big Tech. The president said the former refuses to cover the fraudulent aspects of the election and the latter chooses to cover them up.
“We don’t have freedom of the press in this country,” Trump said. We have suppression by the press. They suppress.”
Other topics
During Sunday’s interview, the president also touched upon the economy and the coronavirus, touting his administration’s success with regard to both.
“And even now the stock mark just hit an all-time high during a pandemic,” Trump said. ” And what did I do? I came up with a vaccine that people didn’t think we would have for five years, and we have them and they are going to be distributed in two weeks. Think of what we have done.”
