An Oregon salon owner says if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) can get her hair done, it’s time to end state and local orders prohibiting other Americans from doing so.
According to a Saturday report from the Washington Examiner, salon owner Lindsey Graham’s remarks came after Pelosi was caught visiting a hair salon in San Francisco, without wearing a mask, despite a local ordinance prohibiting salons from operating amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Graham, who owns Couture Beauty in Salem, Oregon, reportedly told Breitbart’s Joel Pollak that Pelosi’s “actions speak much louder than [her] words.”
“If it’s OK for Nancy Pelosi to go and get her hair done, and it’s OK for [Democratic Oregon Gov.] Kate Brown…to go get her hair done, then you need to open up America right now,” the salon owner said, according to the Examiner, “because you are a hypocrite, and your actions speak much louder than your words.”
“Behaving like elitists”
According to Graham, Pelosi’s and Brown’s “actions are saying that there is no fear of COVID-19, there is no fear of salons being open, and there is no fear that the virus is going to be spread in that way. Because if there were, you would not have gone and got your hair done,” she reportedly told Breitbart.
But she didn’t stop there.
“These government agencies and the governors themselves are complete hypocrites,” Graham contended in her interview with Breitbart, according to the Examiner. “They’re behaving like elitists, where they have the authority to shut down the people they would consider below them.”
She added: “They’ve shut down small businesses, and they’ve harmed families, and they’ve taken kids out of school, and yet, they continue to take a paycheck, and they continue to live their lives. Why are we surprised that they’re continuing to go get services done that they’re deeming are unhealthy and unsanitary?”
“Send Nancy packing!”
Pelosi, for her part, has claimed that she was “set up” by San Francisco’s eSalon and refused to apologize for her actions, other than blaming the salon itself.
“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years many times, and when they said, ‘We’re able to accommodate people one person at a time.’ I trusted that,” the House speaker said last week, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up.”
According to CBS News, the owner of the eSalon, Erica Kious, has pushed back on Pelosi’s claims and said that it was the speaker’s own assistant who arranged the appointment. It remains to be seen who San Francisco voters will choose to believe when they hit the ballot box this November — but President Donald Trump, for his part, is apparently hoping for the best.
Crazy Nancy Pelosi is being decimated for having a beauty parlor opened, when all others are closed, and for not wearing a Mask – despite constantly lecturing everyone else. We will almost certainly take back the House, and send Nancy packing!
