Hannity shares video highlighting Biden’s most notable public gaffes

While presidential nominee Joe Biden received bipartisan praise for his acceptance speech during this week’s Democratic National Convention, many of his critics remain focused on a series of gaffes and misstatements in previous public statements.

Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity contributed to this narrative with a compilation video showing some of the former vice president’s most notable verbal slip-ups.

A pattern on display

Hannity posted the clip, which stands in apparent contrast to the articulate points Biden made during Thursday’s speech.

In addition to inappropriate asides like the hot-mic moment in 2010 during which he celebrated the passage of the Affordable Care Act with an expletive whispered in President Barack Obama’s ear, the video also included some largely incoherent remarks.

“So you go ahead and you stack spaghetti sauce at the store and in a supermarket, you control the guy or the woman who runs the, who brings out the cart on a forklift,” he said in one clip. “What happens? That makes you management? You can’t get paid overtime.”

A series of other notable gaffes were included in the video shared in Hannity’s post, bolstering concerns among many voters that Biden is not fit to serve as commander in chief.

Polls show signs of trouble

As the New York Post reported earlier this month, a Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters showed a majority of respondents think Biden would likely not complete a full term if he wins in November.

In June, another Rasmussen survey found that 4 in 10 respondents believe Biden is suffering from some type of cognitive decline.

Furthermore, former White House physician Ronny Jackson recently confirmed that he is “not comfortable” with the thought of Biden — who he described as “lost” — serving as president, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

The nominee’s wife, Jill Biden, attempted to quash concerns this week, asserting that “Joe’s on the phone every single minute of the day, talking to governors who are calling him, and Nancy Pelosi” in addition to other meetings and briefings, calling attacks on his cognitive function “ridiculous.”

It remains to be seen whether Biden’s performance in his acceptance speech will be enough to convince some skeptics, but videos like the one shared by Hannity will be clear reminders of his less auspicious addresses.
