Months after calling for Trump’s prompt arrest, Rosie O’Donnell still thinks the president is ‘evil’

Rosie O’Donnell keeps waiting and waiting for Trump to get his comeuppance, but that day still hasn’t come.

The actress and Trump nemesis first predicted Trump’s arrest in January. Six months later, Trump has been exonerated by Robert Mueller, the Russia hysteria seems to be dying down (excepting Mueller’s upcoming testimony), and none of the Democrats vying to unseat Trump seem up to the task.

Clearly frustrated at the lack of progress is taking down the commander-in-chief, O’Donnell shared a crude painting Tuesday on Twitter of the president alongside a single word: “Evil.”

Rosie’s still raging

O’Donnell seems to think that angrily tweeting about Trump’s demise will make it so — but reality plods on, independent of Rosie’s daydreams. On Tuesday, the actress shared the latest product of her febrile obsession with the commander-in-chief: a crude, Microsoft Paint-esque portrait of the president with deep orange skin, just the latest anti-Trump portrait by the actress, according to USA Today.

The pithy tweet was in reply to a rant by progressive movie-maker Rob Reiner, another frequent Trump critic, who blasted President Trump for building so-called “concentration camps” on the border.

“You can lie all you want [and] try to gaslight the American people with alternative facts, but you will never be absolved of your cruelty,” Reiner tweeted. “The trauma of ripping children from parents [and] forcing them into cages, living in filth, is just evil.”

Trump and O’Donnell have a feud running back years, and though it was a prominent part of the 2016 campaign, Trump seems to have mostly forgotten about his former nemesis. The same can’t be said of O’Donnell.

A deranged obsession

O’Donnell was promised impeachment and Trump in an orange jumpsuit. But with no collusion found, Rosie and her fellow celebrities on Twitter are building their own impeachment case, one grotesque painting at a time.

Back when the Mueller report was on its way in April, O’Donnell tweeted another bizarre picture of Trump, depicted as an orange devil, with the omen “he’s done.” That came months after she predicted Trump’s arrest to TMZ.

“I think he’ll be arrested,” she said. “I believe in America and I believe in our political system and I believe we will right the wrong of the tyranny of Donald Trump.”

Reiner similarly pleaded with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in June to throw Trump in prison — on the basis of what is unclear.

But for all the talk of “Trump derangement syndrome” in this day and age, there is a big difference between those who dislike the president and the truly gone cases. O’Donnell is among the lost souls.

Like the slapstick genius Jim Carrey, O’Donnell’s Twitter feed has become a stenograph for her deluded thoughts about the president. For some reason, there seems to be a trend of making garish political paintings that stand alone as arguments for why Trump won more than anything.

Unfortunately, tweets aren’t black magic and Pelosi has shown little appetite for impeachment, let alone imprisonment. Rosie will just have to hope the Democrats beat Trump in 2020 — but with the current field of choices, it looks like she’ll be tweeting twisted pictures for a while longer.
