It’s time for Democrats to admit that Vice President Kamala Harris is in dire political trouble.
According to Fox News, that claim was bolstered by the recent bombshell resignation announcement coming from Harris’ chief adviser and spokesperson, Symone Sanders. But going further, emerging reports from Capitol Hill suggest that Sanders is not the only staffer running for the exit.
It was a recent bombshell report from Politico, of all outlets, that revealed: “Key members of Harris’ orbit are leaving and even more are eyeing the exits.”
Prior to Sanders’ announcement, Harris’ communications director, Ashley Etienne, another key player, announced her exit just days prior to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
A “sinking ship”
Many pundits — from both sides of the political aisle — have commented on the recent turmoil reportedly taking place within the walls of Harris’ section of the White House.
Joe Concha, a Fox News contributor, described the latest announcement as proof that Harris’ office is a “sinking ship.”
“I guess when your boss’ approval ratings are at 28% and she’s polling even lower on her number one job, the U.S. southern border where migrants continue to flow over, two million passing over this year. I guess I would leave too, because this is a sinking ship,” Concha opined.
While the White House is seemingly desperately attempting to spin the situation, hilariously, as a natural career progression, those in the know understand that top staffers are running away from an administration that could quite literally sink their careers should they choose to ride out the storm.
“Not a healthy environment”
Over the summer, Politico finally brought legitimacy to rumors that things weren’t working out so well in Harris’ office.
At the time, the outlet noted that “people are thrown under the bus from the very top,” referring to Harris’ office.
“It’s not a healthy environment and people often feel mistreated. It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like s—,” the outlet noted at the time.
While the White House continues to attempt to pretend like nothing serious is happening, Harris’ office can’t afford even one more departure, politically speaking, though at this point, it looks like that’s an inevitable headline.
