If you have a little pocket money to burn, you might consider going all-in on former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
That’s because according to the Washington Examiner, the multi-billion-dollar political betting market is already predicting in a hypothetical 2024 matchup between President Joe Biden and Trump, that the latter will easily win.
It should be noted that the players behind the American political betting industry take their gambling seriously, and were more accurate in the 2020 election results than any poll or survey produced at the time.
As of this writing, Trump is favored to win at 3-1 odds, with Biden, once the favorite, falling to 4-1 odds. Even more embarrassing for the current administration is that Vice President Kamala Harris, who in regular times would be the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee if Biden decides not to run, is currently sitting at 6-1 odds, and falling fast.
The factors
It doesn’t take a betting analyst to realize why Biden — and especially Harris — are working their way to becoming long-shots for victories in 2024, but betting aggregation site Gambling.com cited the two politician’s “historically low” polling numbers as the first reason why they’re no longer favored.
Other issues that factor into the odds include ongoing issues with the COVID-19 pandemic, and the left’s attempt to interfere with concerned parents in the classroom — both of which are just some of the “kitchen table” issues that voters talk about first, and which often transcend political ideologies.
With that said, the betting site released a bombshell statement concerning Biden’s chances in 2024, at least according to their current models.
“He is now the least likeliest incumbent in history to win a second term,” one of its analysts said.
It “could get worse”
Gambling.com analyst Joe Short went on to explain why Biden, and Harris, are rapidly losing popularity and support from American voters.
“Some are doubting whether or not he will complete his first four years as president. And things could get even worse for Biden before they get better as the U.S. political machine ramps up for next year’s midterms,” Short told the Examiner.
As mentioned earlier, it would behoove those who are interested and want a clear picture of what is likely to happen in 2024, or any other election, as the site successfully predicted who won 49 of the 50 states in the 2020 election, easily beating professional, career political pundits at their own game.
In conclusion, if Trump is your horse in 2024, it looks pretty likely that you’ll come out a winner.
