Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) seems to have been labeled public enemy No. 1 by congressional Democrats and their cronies in the media over her outspoken support for former President Donald Trump and his “America First” policies. Rather than be chastened into silence, however, the Georgia congresswoman has instead embraced her firebrand role — but it seems not everyone around her can take the heat.
Just nine months into her congressional term, Greene’s chief of staff, Patrick Parsons, has resigned from the role, the Washington Examiner reported Friday.
Chief of staff resigns
Greene first announced the move in a tweet earlier Friday.
The congresswoman attached to her post a statement from Parsons explaining that his departure came not because of any wrongdoing, but so he could be better situated to engage in the partisan fight for America’s future in the next election cycle.
“I want to thank my Chief of Staff, Patrick Parsons, for helping me take the fight to the Socialist Democrats as I’ve transitioned into Congress,” Greene wrote.
“He’s advised me he will be moving back into the political arena to help elect America First conservatives who can fight alongside me,” she added.

“Working on the outside”
In his statement, Parsons said working to elect and serve Greene had been the “highlight of [his] professional career,” but after “eight and a half months fighting the Socialist Democrats and RINOs in D.C., it’s time to move on.”
He called out the “Communist Biden Administration” for threatening Americans’ freedoms, writing: “I can do more to stop that threat working on the outside than in Congress.”
Parsons went on to praise Greene as an “America First superstar” who has stood up to the D.C. establishment in both parties and “disrupted business as usual” while displaying for her fellow Republicans “how to fight and never back down.”
“America needs hundreds more MTGs in Congress and all levels of public service, and I’m going to help get them there,” he concluded. “I look forward to continuing my work with Marjorie to Save America and Stop Socialism.”
Parsons, who was previously a fierce gun rights activist in Georgia before joining Greene’s team, according to local NPR affiliate WABE, is no stranger to fighting both Democrats and Republicans — and while his enemies and opponents may despise him and his unorthodox tactics, they nonetheless have a begrudging respect for his effectiveness.
