The latest figures indicate that coronavirus cases are up over 300 percent from last Labor Day, Breitbart reports.
So much for President Joe Biden’s promise to get the coronavirus under control . . .

This information comes from Johns Hopkins University.
What the numbers show is that coronavirus cases are up about 316 percent from Labor Day 2020. The numbers also show that coronavirus-related hospitalizations are up about 158 percent from last Labor Day. And, they show that coronavirus-related fatalities are about twice as high.
This is despite the fact that Biden is president and has had enough time to implement his policies, the policies that he claimed, when he was still a presidential candidate, would do what then-President Donald Trump couldn’t do: get the coronavirus under control.
The numbers are also despite the fact that we now have several coronavirus vaccines, whereas last Labor Day we didn’t. That’s right: the numbers are up despite the vaccines.
Health officials and the left will tell you that the numbers are up precisely because a large percentage of Americans still refuse to get vaccinated. Currently, about 53 percent of the population is considered “fully vaccinated.”
“You can’t have 90 million people who are eligible to be vaccinated who are not vaccinated and expect that you can make a good prediction about where we’re going to be,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Biden administration’s chief medical examiner, recently said. “Because when you have people unvaccinated to the extent that they are unvaccinated, you have the possibility of the virus continuing to circulate, mutating, forming more variants and getting us back into another situation similar to or worse than Delta.”
The new strategy
Given that the Biden administration isn’t succeeding with regard to the coronavirus, administration officials now appear to be changing the goal. In a new report from Politico, officials, including Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, say that the administration is looking for a “manageable middle.”
“There will be no quick and clear turning point ahead in the Covid-19 pandemic, no ‘X’ to mark on the calendar indicating that the worst is past and we can be confident that going forward there will be fewer cases, fewer deaths, fewer hospitals stuffed to their dangerous limits,” Murthy said.
Murthy continued by redefining success, in the battle against the coronavirus, as “very few people in the hospital and very few dying.”
Murthy, Fauci, and others, though, still believe that we are a long way off from even reaching this easier goal.
