Lara Trump slams Big Tech over alleged censorship: ‘They want to erase Donald Trump’

Former President Donald Trump, who came to Washington as an outsider and left the same way, certainly remains persona non grata to the political and media establishment. It would also seem, based on their actions, they’re not satisfied he no longer poses a threat to their power.

This week, Facebook scrubbed the former president’s first video interview since he left office because it included the sound of his voice, the New York Post reported. According to Fox News, the move prompted his interviewer and daughter-in-law, Lara, to remark that Big Tech is trying to “erase Donald Trump” from memory.

Trump warns of chilling censorship

Responding to the chilling censorship, the former president himself warned Thursday that the left is becoming so repressive, America is turning into a “communist” dictatorship.

“What is happening in this country, nobody ever thought it would happen,” Donald Trump told cable channel Real America’s Voice, according to the Daily Mail. “It’s total censorship,” he added.

Trump also said that the left, unlike the right, “sticks together” and that conservatives have to toughen up. “They don’t have Mitt Romney or little Ben Sasse or any of that crap. They stick together,” he said, as the Daily Mail reported.

It’s not over yet

The now-former president had not yet left office when he became the target of an unprecedented purge by Big Tech, but the shockingly authoritarian decision to silence a sitting president turned out to be just the beginning.

The censorship has only grown more aggressive, more arbitrary, and more transparent. This time, Facebook took down a video interview between the former president and his daughter-in-law, saying all “content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed,” according to the New York Post.

“In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts,” the social media company said.

“They want you to forget”

Lara Trump has also spoken out on the Stalinist move, saying Big Tech is trying to make America “forget” that her father-in-law “ever existed.”

“But, I think the message here is they want to erase Donald Trump. They want you to forget he ever existed,” she remarked, according to Fox. “They don’t want you to see him, they don’t want you to hear from him. Look away, move on, shut up and go on about your lives, forget Donald Trump existed. This is really scary stuff.”

Why would they want to “erase” Donald Trump? While his future is uncertain, he retains a fiercely loyal following, and he hasn’t closed the door on a 2024 run.

Either way, the left thinks that President Trump’s movement never should have happened in the first place. They certainly don’t want anyone like him challenging them ever again. But if they can find a way to erase Donald Trump, then they can rewrite history. America is on a very dangerous path.
