Trump launches a new website

After being permanently banned by a number of social media sites, former President Donald Trump just took another step towards getting back in touch with his base.

Fox News reports that Trump has launched a new website called “45office.com.”

What about it?

A representative of Trump told Fox News that the site “will allow individuals to submit correspondence, scheduling requests, and press inquiries for President and Mrs. Trump.”

One of the main points of the website, according to Fox, is to get Trump back in touch with his supporters. “President and Mrs. Trump are continually strengthened by the enduring spirit of the American people, and they look forward to staying in touch,” a statement from Trump’s office reads.

45Office.com, itself, is a fairly basic website. On the home page, there is a slide show of various pictures of the former president and former first lady. Then, there is a “contact us” button, and, finally, there is this statement:

The Office of Donald J. Trump is committed to preserving the magnificent legacy of the Trump Administration, while at the same time advancing the America First agenda. Through civic engagement and public activism, the Office of Donald J. Trump will strive to inform, educate, and inspire Americans from all walks of life as we seek to build a truly great American Future. Through this office, President Trump will remain a tireless champion for the hardworking men and women of our great country – and for their right to live in safety, dignity, prosperity, and peace.

After clicking on “contact us,” users of the website are brought to a page will three options: “share your thoughts,” “scheduling request,” and “request a greeting.” Each link brings the user to a different page with a different picture and a different blurb.

The “share your thoughts” page, for example, reads:

Donald J. Trump and Melania Trump enjoy hearing from the American people.  In an effort to ensure that your requests and comments are received in a timely manner, it is strongly encouraged that you submit all correspondence online.  President and Mrs. Trump prefer not to receive letters, gifts, inquiries, and invitations through the mail.

Thank you so much for your understanding.

Each of these three pages has a form for the user to fill out and submit.

Trump’s return

45office.com is one of several steps that Trump is taking to get back in touch with Americans, after he was permanently banned by Twitter, Facebook, and others, following the January 6th Capitol riot.

The most exciting news was recently delivered by Trump advisor Jason Miller, who revealed that Trump has plans to launch his own social media site sometime in the next couple of months.

“It’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does, but it will be his own platform,” Miller said.

Besides this, the only other thing that Trump’s supporters are waiting for is for him to announced his 2024 presidential campaign. Thus far, Trump has only teased that idea, but, at least at this point, he is clearly the Republican frontrunner.
