Fox News announces Kayleigh McEnany will co-host popular daytime program

Fox News has made several huge moves in the hiring department this week, including the announcement of making former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump a contributor to the network.

According to Fox News, on Tuesday, the network doubled down and elevated former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany from a contributorship to the newest co-host of “Outnumbered,” a popular roundtable daytime show anchored by host Harris Faulkner.

What are the details?

Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott revealed the bombshell news on Tuesday, praising McEnany for her strong background in politics, law and her ability to speak on behalf of women for various issues they face in America today.

“Kayleigh’s unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women’s health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to ‘Outnumbered’ — we are delighted to welcome her back to FOX News where she began her media career,” Scott said.

It wasn’t long ago that McEnany announced that she’d been offered a contributorship role with the network, which was obviously valuable for Fox News as they attempt to regain some of the lost Trump-loyal viewers who turned sour on the network after the 2020 election.

The former press secretary is already extremely comfortable at the network, as not only has she made numerous appearances toward the end of Trump’s term in the White House and afterward, she also worked at the network as a producer for three years on former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s Fox News show.

McEnany will begin her new media career alongside Faulkner and co-host Emily Compagno starting April 6. The three will be joined by a rotating list of guest panelists for each show.

“Thrilled”

The 32-year-old media star expressed excitement for the opportunity on Tuesday in a Twitter post, saying she’s “thrilled” and “honored” to be joining the popular daytime show.

The new gig is certainly one to be proud of, as Nielsen Media Research places it at the top spot of all cable news programs in its time slot. Given the time of day that it airs, 12 p.m. ET, the show is often on-air as breaking news events occur.

Her Twitter announcement quickly went viral, with her fans and followers praising Fox News for the decision to elevate her to such a prominent gig, along with well-wishes for her success at the network.

Given her experience in media and from her time working in one of the most scrutinized presidential administrations in American history, it’s a good bet that McEnany will be nothing short of the network’s newest star personality.
