Multiple scandals have plagued Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in recent weeks, including reports that his administration covered up the true COVID-19 death toll among nursing home patients and multiple allegations of sexual harassment.
For her part, Fox News Channel host Jeanine Pirro told viewers on Friday that the scandals prove Cuomo should either resign or be forced out of office sooner rather than later.
“He cannot afford to have that number laid out”
Her critique came during an appearance on Friday morning’s installment of Fox & Friends when she let loose on Cuomo based on the details emerging around both controversies.
As a result of the increasingly damning claims against him, she said the governor should be “taken out of Albany” immediately.
Pirro first responded to reports that the governor’s top aides intervened to change a Health Department report last summer in an effort to conceal the true number of COVID-19 deaths among the elderly population in nursing homes and other facilities.
Those accusations, she determined, confirmed that Cuomo is a “bully,” “fraud,” and “liar,” remarking: “He’s getting ready to write his book — he cannot afford to have that number laid out.”
The former judge and prosecutor went on to assert that there must be a full investigation against Cuomo, recommending that a grand jury be convened to consider a host of potential criminal charges related to the matter — including criminally negligent homicide, manslaughter, reckless homicide, elder abuse, and endangering the welfare of the elderly, among others.
“The sooner that happens the better”
She then shifted to a discussion of the recent sexual harassment allegations from three women, two of whom previously served as aides to the governor. Cuomo’s accusers have accused him of unwanted touching and kisses, sexually suggestive and demeaning comments, and creating a toxic and uncomfortable work environment.
Pirro determined that the evidence portrays Cuomo as a “classic serial predator,” asserting her belief that there are likely many more victims than just the three who have gone public thus far.
“This guy is an out-of-control sexual, serial predator,” she said. “He’s got to be taken out of Albany and the sooner that happens the better.”

Despite growing bipartisan calls for Cuomo to step down, it seems unlikely that he will do so without a fight. Earlier this week, he said he was “embarrassed” and publicly apologized for causing “pain” to his accusers but made it clear that he has no intention of resigning.
