Hannity calls out Biden’s cognitive decline, questions who is really in charge at the White House

President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline has been the topic of much speculation, which inevitably leads to the pertinent question of who is actually in charge at the White House.

That is a question Fox News host Sean Hannity has been pondering, particularly as Biden’s condition seems to have worsened.

Biden is “struggling”

Hannity made his remarks about Biden’s declining cognitive capabilities during a conversation Monday with Fox News Primetime guest host Lawrence Jones.

“It’s getting a little scary,” Hannity told Jones after recounting Biden’s blunders over the past few days. “It’s funny because the media was attacking me for saying that Joe looks weak and he looks frail and he’s struggling cognitively.”

“Well, every day now, pretty much, when he speaks, when he’s allowed to speak, he’s struggling,” he said.

Harris may take lead on foreign policy

Both Hannity and Jones referenced a recent report from Politico regarding Vice President Kamala Harris receiving a “crash course” on foreign policy in anticipation of her taking a leading role in the administration on that front.

That report noted that Harris was being included in important foreign policy discussions, was being briefed by the secretary of state every week, had surrounded herself with top aides with long careers in foreign policy and national security, and was even holding one-on-one calls with top allies and world leaders.

According to the White House’s own readouts, Harris has already led bilateral discussions with the heads of state of Australia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Denmark, France, Canada and the World Health Organization.

Biden’s decline

Hannity said the Politico story has been “underreported” in terms of its significance and noted that Harris taking a lead on calls with important world leaders, while not entirely unprecedented, was nonetheless atypical at such an early point in a new administration.

“I would expect the president, the commander-in-chief, to be leading our foreign policy, and right now, I’m not exactly sure that Joe Biden is in” control of his own White House, he continued.

“Here’s what I ask everybody to do. Don’t take Sean Hannity’s word for it. Go back and Google or Yahoo ‘Joe Biden,’ his name. Look up some videos. Look at him, tapes of him 10 years ago. Look at tapes of him from four years ago when he left office,” Hannity said.

“To me, it’s very obvious. I’m not a doctor. I’m not playing one on television or radio,” he added. “I want the best for our country, though. And I want a president that’s fully, completely engaged. And it’s now becoming worrisome to me.”
