Clintons implicated in alleged comments from Ghislaine Maxwell about secret Epstein tapes

A new book alleges that Ghislaine Maxwell, former associate of the late accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, tried to protect former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential run, The Daily Wire reported

Written by former CBS producer Ira Rosen, the book Ticking Clock: Behind The Scenes At 60 Minutes, recalls a conversation Rosen claims to have had with Maxwell in 2016.

Incriminating tapes

In the book, Rosen writes that he had a “hunch” that Epstein had recorded compromising footage of then-candidate Donald Trump with underage girls and demanded access to it. “I want the tapes,” the television producer allegedly told Maxwell. “I know he [Epstein] was videotaping everyone and I want the tapes of Trump with the girls.”

Believing that the “fate of the country is at stake,” Rosen said he stressed to Maxwell that “Trump could be elected president and how would you feel if those tapes emerged after he was in office?”

According to Rosen, Maxwell gave Rosen “a stern look and pointed a finger in my face,” and turned down his request to “ask Epstein” for the tapes.

“‘I am the daughter of a press baron. I know the way you people think. If you do one side, you must do the other. If you get the tapes on Trump you have to do Clinton,” Maxwell allegedly responded.

Rosen noted, “Maxwell didn’t want Trump elected, but said that Hillary Clinton was comfortably ahead and there was no need for the story to come out. Besides, she said, Epstein never shared with her the location of the tapes.”

Multiple trips on Epstein’s plane

At the time of his death in New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, Epstein was facing federal charges that he used his private Caribbean island to sex traffic underage girls.

While no evidence has emerged that Trump was involved in the abuse, former President Bill Clinton took multiple flights aboard Epstein’s private airplane nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” Fox News reported.

Fox cited Federal Aviation Administration flight records which showed that Clinton took at least 26 flights on the aircraft. He did not use his Secret Service detail for at least five of those trips.

Although Clinton has denied ever being present on the island, alleged Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Guiffre claimed in a deposition to have seen him there, Breitbart reported.

“I remember asking Jeffrey what’s Bill Clinton doing here kind of thing, and he laughed it off and said, ‘Well he owes me a favor,'” she said.
