‘Badakathcare’: Biden’s latest blunder caps off a campaign full of gaffes

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden suffered yet again on Saturday from what Breitbart characterized as a “brain freeze.”

This time, according to Breitbart, the former vice president was trying to promote Obamacare — officially known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) — when he came up with a new health policy: “Badakathcare.”

“It’s a right”

The incident occurred on Saturday during a campaign stop for the Democrat in Flint, Michigan. There, Biden was talking about protecting the ACA, which many on the left have suggested is under threat now that Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump nominee, has been confirmed to the Supreme Court.

“We’re also going to act to protect health care,” Biden said in Michigan, according to Breitbart. “Trump and the Republicans just jammed through a Supreme Court nominee for one overwhelming reason, as Barack said, the president said, they have been trying with over 50 shots to take out Obamacare, to destroy the Affordable Care Act.”

The former VP then made his latest blunder.

“Donald Trump thinks health care is a privilege,” Biden claimed, as Breitbart reported. “Barack and I think it’s a right to have badakathcare.”

“International pressure”

The embarrassing moment comes just a week after Biden made a similar flub. During a rally in Dallas, Pennsylvania on Oct. 24, Biden was reportedly reading off a teleprompter when he ran into some difficulty.

“I’ll lead an effective strategy to mobilize truaninonashufodopressure,” Biden said, as Breitbart reported separately. The former VP was reportedly trying to say he’d lead an effort to mobilize “true international pressure” against China, but that’s not the message that came across.

The next day, on Oct. 25, Biden managed to forget who the current president is. “Four more years of George, er, George, er, he — we’re going to find ourselves in a position where, if Trump gets elected, we’re going to be in a different world,” he said in an interview, according to the Daily Mail.

Gaffes galore

Indeed, it seems it’s been a tough week for the Biden campaign — but then again, Biden’s last-minute blunders just cap off what has long been a rocky campaign for the 77-year-old Democrat. Biden has erroneously said on multiple occasions throughout his candidacy that he’s running for U.S. Senate, he’s forgotten what state he was in while campaigning, and he even promised to mobilize the “most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics” earlier this month, as Breitbart reported.

It all has President Donald Trump feeling optimistic with just hours until Election Day.
