Report: Biden partners tried to drag Kamala Harris, Andrew Cuomo into their business deals

Kamala Harris’ name is now making headlines in the growing scandal surrounding Hunter Biden and his international business dealings.

According to the Washington Examiner, an ex-business associate of Biden’s named Tony Bobulinski has released “[d]ocuments, texts, and emails” that allegedly show that members of the Biden family tried “to lure in a number of politically-connected officials…into business partnerships” — among them, California Sen. Kamala Harris (D) and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

Bobulinski, a Navy veteran, has come forward in recent days to dispute claims by former Vice President Joe Biden that he didn’t know anything about the business dealings of his son, Hunter, and brother, Jim. “They were putting their entire family legacy on the line. They knew exactly what they were doing,” Bobulinski told Tucker Carlson on Tuesday, according to Fox News.

Now, he’s bringing proof.

Big names

According to a report from Washington Examiner, which cited Bobulinski, an email was sent on May 15, 2017, from Jim Biden to Bobulinski himself, as well as James Gilliar, Rob Walker, and Hunter Biden, who is Jim’s nephew.

In it, Jim Biden reportedly suggested that the four business partners approach a number of powerful Democratic figures, including Cuomo, New York Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Also allegedly mentioned were some big names on the West Coast, including then-California Gov. Jerry Brown — someone Jim Biden referred to as “a long-time friend — and then San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who was described as being “Hunter’s friend,” according to the Examiner.

Of course, vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris is said to have made the list, as well. Harris first joined the Democratic ticket in August, when Joe Biden announced his pick for running mate.

Questions remain

The bombshells from Bobulinski come as Joe Biden himself tries to distance himself from the allegations, saying at his last debate against President Donald Trump that he had “not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life,” as Fox reported.

Bobulinski, for his part, isn’t buying that claim. “I’ll be honest with you, I almost stood up and screamed ‘liar’ and walked out because I was shocked that after four days or five days that they prep for this, that the Biden family is taking that position to the world,” the former Biden business partner told Carlson on Tuesday, according to Fox.

As the Washington Examiner noted, Bobulinski also said at a press conference last week that “it was made clear to” him “on numerous occasions” that “Joe Biden’s involvement [in their business deals] was not to be mentioned in writing but only face to face.”

“In fact, I was advised by Gilliar and Walker that Hunter and Jim Biden were paranoid about keeping Joe Biden’s involvement secret,” Bobulinski added, according to the Examiner. But it all still leaves us with more questions than answers.
