Joe Biden just got some devastating news.
According to Breitbart, a new Rassmussen poll released on Thursday shows President Donald Trump leading the Democratic nominee by three points in the battleground state of Arizona. It’s a big jump for Trump from last week’s poll, which had Biden up in the state by two.
The five-point swing comes as Election Day is less than a week away and follows a general trend showing polls leaning toward Trump in the final days before the election. Trump led 48% to Biden’s 45% in the poll, which was conducted by Rasmussen from Oct. 27 to 29.
Ninety-three percent of Arizona voters told the pollster that they had made up their minds about the candidate they are voting for, and 4% were undecided. When undecided voters who are leaning toward a candidate were included in the numbers, Trump jumps to a four-point lead over Biden, 49% to 45%, which is outside the poll’s margin of error of 3.5%.
It’s the economy, stupid
Twenty-nine percent of the Arizona voters surveyed by Rasmussen said the economy was their top issue. Trump’s coronavirus response was second, with 25% pointing to it as their top concern, and the coronavirus, in general, was third, with 21%.
Meanwhile, 51% of those polled approved of Trump’s job performance, with 47% disapproving, Rasmussen reported.
During the time when the poll was being taken, Trump visited the Grand Canyon State and held rallies in Bullhead City and Goodyear, Breitbart noted.
Arizona is considered a swing state, and the two presidential contenders appear to be in a dead heat based on the RealClearPolitics polling average.
“Hidden” Trump vote?
Still, there’s more good news for Trump when it comes to Arizona: Republican National Committee (RNC) director Ronna McDaniel reported that of the people who signed up for the Bullhead City rally, 24% were not registered Republican and 45% had not voted before. Similar numbers were reportedly seen at the Goodyear rally, as well.
ARIZONA is fired up and ready to re-elect for @realDonaldTrump!
✅ 23,591 signups for Bullhead City rally
✅ 24.0% NOT Republican
✅ 45.3% (!) did not vote in 2016
Thank you to the thousands of supporters who turned out!

These numbers support what Trafalgar Group pollster Robert Cahaly has referred to as a “hidden” Trump vote that most pollsters may be missing in their samples, which focus on those registered to a particular party and “likely voters” who have voted before.
According to The Hill, early voting around the country has been more Republican than in previous elections, which may lead to Democrat losses. It’s 2020, though, so anything could still happen.
