Joe Rogan: New York Post reporting about Hunter Biden laptop ‘is accurate’

Despite Twitter, Facebook, and the media’s best efforts, the Hunter Biden story isn’t going away. Joe Rogan, arguably one of the most influential voices online right now, just declared that he believes that the New York Post’s explosive reporting about Hunter Biden is “accurate.”

Documents found on a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, provide details on Hunter Biden’s business dealings overseas while his father was the U.S. vice president, according to the Post’s report. The report, and subsequent revelations, raises important questions about whether Joe Biden was involved in or aware of Hunter’s activities — something the Democratic nominee has repeatedly denied.

“The Post, what they printed and put out there, is accurate”

Rogan, who hosts the popular “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, briefly addressed the topic near the beginning of his Tuesday program, which featured guests comedian Tom Dillon and controversial InfoWars founder Alex Jones, the Washington Examiner reported.

While discussing the importance of free speech as opposed to the “slippery slope” of censorship — Jones has been censored and banned from virtually all major online platforms — Rogan decried how “crazy” it was that White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had been temporarily blocked from Twitter for sharing the Post’s report about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

“And what she said — the Post, what they printed and put out there, is accurate,” Rogan said.

After Jones pointed out that nobody in the Biden camp has actually denied the authenticity of the emails and text messages recovered from the laptop, Rogan reiterated his belief that “it’s real.”

Following further discussion of the details of the laptop story and the Biden family, Rogan eventually concluded that it was “a real problem to ban this stuff from Twitter.” Watch:

“Yes, they’re real”

As had been alluded to by Rogan and Jones, the Post’s Twitter account was locked roughly two weeks ago when it first published the breaking story about Hunter Biden’s laptop. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, during Senate testimony Wednesday, suggested that the Post’s account would be unlocked once it deleted tweets linking to the story.

Sohrab Ahmari, the opinion editor for the Post, told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that what Twitter was doing has the appearance of “high-tech racketeering” and reminded him of mob-style blackmail. Imitating Dorsey, he said, “Nice paper you got there. Be a shame if you couldn’t reach your two million followers on our platform.”

As for the claims in the Post’s report, Ahmari noted, “Neither Mr. Joe Biden or Mr. Hunter Biden has denied the authenticity of the emails. Neither has denied the ownership of the laptop.”

“Now we have an on-the-record source on one of the threads that we reported out saying ‘Yes, they’re real.’ Again, what policy have we violated and what will happen if the only journalism that is allowed is journalism that the subject of the story permits?” he added.
