With political passions running high in America, one man found an unconventional, and rather disgusting, way of expressing himself.
A YouTuber defecated on Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s driveway and shared it on a YouTube livestream, in what he called a “peaceful protest.”
“That was for President Trump”
The now-private video shows the man, who calls himself “Armando” or “Mando,” walking around San Francisco in search of Pelosi’s home.
Once there, he sets up a camera, walks over to Pelosi’s driveway, and gives a salute. Then, in an act that seems to summarize the current state of American political discourse, he squats down and relieves himself.
“That was for President Trump,” he says, in the viral video titled “Poopalosi.”
In a follow-up video called, “I’m gonna need a lawyer,” the man reveals that he was questioned by police over the incident.
“It was scary, man,” he said. “They asked me about Kamala Harris, and about how I joked on the stream that if she lived in San Francisco, I’d s–t on her house too,” he added. “They weren’t f—ing playing.”
Man apologizes for “peaceful protest”
The culprit is a homeless backpacker and aspiring filmmaker, according to his YouTube channel. He told the New York Post that he is not political and that the act was a “satire” meant to draw attention to the plight of homeless people in San Francisco, where human feces on the sidewalks has been a problem for years.
Pelosi most recently drew outrage for getting her hair done at a salon that was closed due to the coronavirus, despite her own admonitions to the public concerning lockdowns and masks. Finding a bathroom has been particularly difficult during the coronavirus lockdown, said Armando, who has been homeless for six years.
“What better way to show someone the message, you know?” he said. “We need more access to bathrooms, we need more access to resources out here.”
Later, the man appeared to apologize to Pelosi in a tweet, saying he isn’t “proud” of his actions.
“@SpeakerPelosi I know you may not ever see this but I want you to know, I meant no foul harm yesterday when I did what I did. I’m not proud of it at all and I just would like for you to know that. I have no ill will against you or anyone in an elected officials position.”
