While the president’s critics in the Democratic Party and mainstream media push the narrative that Donald Trump has disrespected U.S. service members, Republicans are pushing back with a video clip of Joe Biden.
In the footage shared by Donald Trump Jr. this week on Twitter, the Democratic presidential nominee can be seen walking away and apparently annoyed after an encounter with a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Reports indicate the veteran, Michael Thurman, confronted Biden in March and expressed an impassioned denunciation of the former senator’s war record.
“We are wondering why we should vote for someone who voted for a war and enabled a war that killed thousands of our brothers and sisters,” he said. “Their blood is on your hands.”
After telling Biden that his “friends are dead” because of those policies, Biden responded with a reference to his own son, a veteran who had recently died from brain cancer.
Following a short argument, Biden walked away as Thurman continued to shout.
“Top people in the Pentagon”
“You are disqualified, sir!” he said to the retreating candidate. “Disqualified!”
While apparently less than satisfied with Biden’s record, Thurman was nonetheless upset to see his encounter rehashed and used for political purposes by Trump’s eldest son. He has identified as a reluctant Biden voter and expressed a harsh condemnation of the Trump administration in a new video statement.
“This was treated by Donald Trump Jr. like it just happened,” he said. “The video was posted on Super Tuesday.”
Facing his own negative press stemming from a bombshell article in The Atlantic, Trump doubled down on criticism of the military establishment on Monday, declaring that “the top people in the Pentagon” probably do not like him “because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy.”
While allegations and controversial statements surface on all sides ahead of any presidential election, the nation’s military vote will ultimately go to the candidate that enlisted men and women trust to keep America safe and strong over the next four years.
