Montana’s Democratic governor Steve Bullock is denying that he sexually assaulted a young woman, after a claim from an unidentified accuser surfaced online.
“This did not happen, and it is disgraceful for Republicans to try and use this as a political attack by spreading it through partisan websites and right-wing social media accounts,” Bullock spokeswoman Olivia Bercow told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Assault allegation surfaces
Bullock was responding to a claim from an unidentified young woman who says that he touched her buttocks at a political event.
The video was shared by the popular pro-Trump Twitter account Comfortably Smug.
In the video, a woman claims that she was sexually assaulted by Bullock while taking a picture with him at a gala in Washington, D.C. The woman was invited to the gala by a man she met on the bus while traveling to the nation’s capital.
She says that Bullock offered a “battle coin” to her date after he confronted the governor over the alleged incident., but she later found out that her date made up the story to impress her, leaving her with “no reliable witnesses.”
The woman says that she “kind of forgot about it” until “a few years later” she saw that Bullock was running for the presidential nomination in 2020 and decided “now’s a good time” to come forward with the story, at which time she reached out to her date. Watch below:

Bullock seeks Senate seat
Bullock dropped out of the 2020 presidential primaries after his candidacy failed to gain traction.
He is retiring from the governorship after two terms and is now seeking the seat held by first-term Republican senator Steve Daines, in a tight, marquee race that Dems see as an opportunity to help take back the Senate. Trump has endorsed Daines, saying his opponent would be a “horror” for the state.
“Senator @SteveDaines is doing a tremendous job for the people of Montana! He just helped me pass the Great American Outdoors Act, which protects the Montana away of life. His opponent, Steve Bullock, would be an absolute horror for Montana,” Trump recently tweeted.
Bullock previously came under scrutiny last year for his response to a sexual harassment case involving a former member of his staff, Kevin O’Brien.
It is unclear if there were any witnesses to verify the TikTok allegation, which was shared by a user named “droopynuts.” The account appears to have been deleted, the Daily Caller reported.
