Hunter Biden pursues new career path as an artist

Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, has found a new pursuit, and it is a shocker.

In a recently published New York Times article, Biden revealed that he is pursuing a career as an artist — a painter, to be exact.

“For years, I wouldn’t call myself an artist,” Biden told the Times. “Now, I feel comfortable saying it.”

Staying sane

Biden’s difficulties with alcohol and drugs are no secret as they have been rather extensively reported on, much to the dismay of his father and his 2020 presidential campaign.

“I was addicted to crack for four years,” Biden told the Times. “I went through a really long period of addiction, and I was at a point where I didn’t read, write, think. I don’t do things halfway. That can be a problem.”

Painting, however, now appears to be what Biden is turning to. In his words, it is what is “literally keeping me sane.”

“You have to be really focused in order to be able to alter it to your own imagination,” he said.

Meanwhile . . .

This is all a rather sudden change of pace from the recent controversy surrounding Hunter Biden. He recently went through a contentious divorce and then married last year, after a six-day engagement, while at the same time going through a separate paternity suit in which his financial records are being sought.

And, let’s not forget his mentions in the recent impeachment attempt against President Donald Trump. Many still want to know how Biden managed to get that multimillion-dollar Ukrainian energy firm gig despite having no real experience — maybe father Joe knows? But, somehow all of this is being ignored, and it’s on to Biden the painter now.

Making a career of it?

In its report, The Times took a picture of Biden in his studio. Here is an accurate description from the Washington Examiner: “In a pool house-turned-art studio behind his 2,000-square-foot Hollywood Hills home, Biden, dressed in work boots and a pearl snap button-down shirt, is painting psychedelic florals in ink.”

In the Times article, Biden explained that he has no education in painting. But he is working toward exhibiting his work, and, according to one collector, he has potential…

“Collector Beth Rudin DeWoody, a former board member of the Whitney Museum in New York City, said she believes Biden can have a successful career in the art world due to his prominent last name,” the Examiner reports. We’ll see.
