Report: Judge Jeanine cancels several GOP-aligned speaking appearances

Media Matters for America rejoiced in a recent report that Fox star Jeanine Pirro has canceled several recent and upcoming GOP-aligned events across the country.

The Justice with Judge Jeanine host has been touring to promote her recently released book, Radicals, Resistance, and Revenge: The Left’s Plot to Remake America.

“Something came up”

Among the casualties are several events Pirro had scheduled with Trump Team 2020 Florida, a group that had events planned across the Sunshine State. Pirro was set to attend a Sept. 18 event in Pensacola, a Sept. 19 event in Jacksonville, a Sept. 22 event in The Villages, and a Sept. 24 event in Vero Beach, Media Matters reported.

But event organizers told Media Matters that Pirro wouldn’t be able to make it. According to Trump Team 2020 Duval’s Karyn Morton, “Pirro had to cancel all of her Florida book tour speaking engagements this week [and] next. We hope to reschedule her and will post when we have a new date set,” Morton, whose group helped organize Thursday’s event in Jacksonville, said.

Other organizers cited “unexpected circumstances” and “a scheduling conflict” as reasons for Pirro’s absence. Another told reporters: “Something came up.”

Pirro will also reportedly miss an Oct. 20 fundraiser in Washington, D.C., and an Oct. 25 event in Washington state.

“I’m worried…they’ll fire me”

But while organizers didn’t say what “came up” to stop Pirro from appearing, some have speculated that one entity is to blame: Fox News. The network, which has recently clashed with Pirro over comments the host made about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), reportedly has tight reins on their top contributors.

“We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar. They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly,” Fox said in a statement before taking Pirro’s show off the air for two weeks in March, according to The Washington Examiner.

Pirro lamented that apparent suspension and the hold Fox has on her schedule in a recent hot-mic moment on Sebastian Gorka’s radio program.

“We’ll see if they let me,” Pirro said in response to Gorka’s suggestion that she appear on his show in person, rather than over the phone, in the coming weeks. “You know Fox reviews everything. They’re unbelievable.”

She went on to say they’d blocked her from appearing with Bill O’Reilly and on Newsmax in the past — and it’s moves like this that have Pirro walking on eggshells with the network. “I’m worried that that suspension was the basis to tee up for anything I do wrong, they’ll fire me,” Pirro told Gorka.

But if fans are upset that they won’t see Pirro in Florida this fall, one can only imagine how they’d react to Pirro’s ouster. Will Fox be bold enough to make that move? Only time will tell.
