Judge Nap bashes Trump for ‘xenophobic, racist and hateful’ tweets

Once a vocal supporter of the president, Fox News legal analyst and former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano has turned to demonizing Donald Trump ever since he reportedly turned him down for a seat on the Supreme Court.

Judge Napolitano continued his anti-Trump offensive on Thursday, writing a blistering op-ed that Fox News decided to publish. “The first of these tweets was xenophobic, racist and hateful,” Napolitano wrote. “The second was just plain ignorant.”

Napolitano: just plain wrong

The former judge was referring to a tweet wherein the president criticized four “‘Progressive’ Democrat congresswomen” — collectively known as “the squad” — by telling them to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.” Trump’s comment was aimed at the outspoken freshmen Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), all women of color who have been loudly and sharply critical of American history and foreign policy.

Trump was merely illustrating how the congresswomen relentlessly degrade American culture and values while giving their ancestral homelands a free pass. For expressing these sentiments, Trump was vilified in the press and by his old fan Napolitano, who referred to his written monologue as “racial hatred.”

To his credit, the ex-superior court judge also reserved some vituperation for Congress. “We have a president who sounds more like a Mafia don than a statesman and a Congress that wants to pick and choose whose offensive words to condemn,” he said.

Napolitano was referring to Democrats’ inability to censure their own colleagues for making vile and racist comments. When Omar made a series of anti-Semitic statements earlier this year, the Democrat-majority House refused to hold her personally accountable.

Napolitano believes that Trump, who allegedly refused to consider him as a replacement for Justices Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy, has empowered the leftist “squad” by publicly denigrating them. “So when Trump attacked the individual members of the Squad based on immutable characteristics — race, gender, place of origin — he succeeded in doing what no Democratic presidential candidate has been able to do thus far,” the jurist predicted. “He united the Democratic Party around an issue and against himself.”

So far, however, this doesn’t seem to be the case. Trump’s approval rating among likely voters soared by 4 points in the days following his so-called “racist tweet,” according to a Rasmussen poll. “Thank you to the vicious young Socialist Congresswomen,” Trump tweeted his gratitude. “America will never buy your act!”

High-tech lynching

Besides Trump’s attack on the congressional quartet, Napolitano was also incensed with the president for suggesting that the tech giant Google should be investigated for treason and suggested that Trump was abusing his authority by so recklessly wielding the term.

Except — Trump merely promised that his administration would “take a look” into the allegation that Google was working with China.

Thiel may be on to something. According to a July 11 report from The Intercept, Google is currently partnering with IBM and other tech companies in the communist state to help the “government conduct mass surveillance against its citizens.”

At least Napolitano is fair in his final analysis. “Any person faithful to the Constitution should disagree with all these words — the president’s words and the censuring congressional words. But like Voltaire, a patriot will defend to the death the right to utter them.”
