President Trump fired back at former president Jimmy Carter after he said that Trump only won because of help from the Russians.
From the Hill:
“Look, he was a nice man. He was a terrible president,” Trump told reporters in Japan during the Group of 20 summit.
“He’s a Democrat. And it’s a typical talking point. He’s loyal to the Democrats. And I guess you should be … as everybody now understands, I won not because of Russia, not because of anybody but myself,” he added, according to The Associated Press.
The media is loving Carter for his comments, but they’re forgetting, and apparently so is he, that he denied the Russians helped Trump two years ago. SO what is going on here?
I could imply that the nonagenarian could be suffering of a memory impairment, but it could be that he simply thought there was new evidence in the release of the Mueller report.
Now, he didn’t say that, and the media hasn’t pressed him on it, and thus it becomes yet another example of the media letting a Democrat off the hook because he said something they like…
