Alabama Democrat doubles down on pro-abortion comments, says Trump Jr. ‘should’ve been aborted’

Extreme pro-abortion Democrat John Rogers got into a feud with Donald Trump Jr. over the Alabama representative’s callous comments in defense of abortion.

Trump Jr. was among those who criticized Rogers when he set off a controversy with a vile defense of abortion on the Alabama House floor this week, in which he argued that “some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later.” The Alabama Democrat shot back at Trump Jr., saying that his mother “should’ve aborted him” and that Trump Jr. being alive is an argument for abortion.

‘Kill them now or kill them later’

Rogers sparked outrage this week when his rambling, blood-thirsty defense of abortion went viral. The Democrat argued against a pro-life bill in the Alabama House Wednesday by stating bluntly that unwanted children should be murdered to save society the trouble of having to “kill them later.”

“Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later,” he said. Watch below:

Trump Jr. called Rogers’s comments “stomach curling” and so extreme as to “[make] Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion.” Northam infamously defended abortion after birth earlier this year amid a late-term abortion push in his state.

“Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we’ve seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening,” Trump Jr. said.

Rogers responded Thursday with more vile rhetoric, calling Trump Jr. “retarded” and said that Trump Jr.’s existence is “the best defense I’ve got of abortion.”

“That’s an honor. Thank God. Right on … Him being born is the very good defense that I have for abortion. His mother should’ve aborted him when he was born, and then he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement. He’s retarded or crazy, Donald Trump’s son. I knew he was crazy. The best defense I’ve got for abortion right there, looking at him,” Rogers said.

Doubling down

Rogers also used the word “retarded” when arguing against House Bill 314 Wednesday, which later passed the House. The bill would ban all abortions in the state except when the mother’s health is at risk. Rogers argued that abortion should be an option to take children who “will be retarded and half-deformed” out of the world.

“All I’m saying to you is it ought to be a woman’s choice. I’m not about to be the male telling a woman what to do with her body. She has a right to make that decision herself,” Rogers said.

Rogers doubled down on his pseudo-eugenicist views Wednesday. “You’re killing them anyway. You’re putting them in jail, and that’s the worst thing in the world … You’re killing them anyway, bringing all these unwanted children into the world.”

The Democrat also engaged in some racial theorizing, falsely arguing that most aborted babies are white and that opposition to abortion is an attempt “to put more whites on this earth.” In fact, far more aborted babies are black than white.

Abortion extremists

A spokesman for Donald Trump Jr. condemned Rogers’ remarks.

“Sadly, vile comments like this have become par for the course for the Democrat Party,” Andy Surabian told the Washington Examiner. “They’ve become so deranged by President Trump’s victory that celebrating late-term abortion, support for eugenics and even calling for the death of political opponents is becoming their standard operating procedure. I hope every elected Democrat in the country has the common decency and moral courage to disavow these types of grotesque statements from members of their party.”

Alabama Democratic Senator Doug Jones rebuked Rogers, calling his comments “outrageous” and demanded an apology. But the fact is, Rogers’ callous, eugenicist views — while ghoulish — are becoming the new normal for the Democratic party.

The Democrats have taken a hard left turn on abortion this year. Nearly all Democrats running for president support late-term abortions.

Progressives have accused conservatives of “pouncing” on Democrats’ recent embrace of late-term abortion to paint them as infanticidal monsters, even as Democrats have embraced infanticide on demand in all but name.

The Hill sparked a backlash with its angle on Rogers’ comments, after publishing the headline, “Conservatives seize on Alabama state Dem’s abortion comments.” N
