When Donald Trump was elected to the White House in November 2016, he chose a “principled conservative” through Mike Pence as his running mate. Both seem to share similar values with Pence describing himself as “a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order.”
On April 26, both the president and vice-president addressed the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual convention in Indianapolis.
Heading to Indianapolis to speak at the big NRA Conference. Love being in Indiana. The @NRA is getting stronger & stronger and doing some really great and important work. Having their powerful support has been vital to #MAGA!

In his speech, Trump reminded Americans that “faith and family” are the foundational blocks for life—not the worship of government.
“We know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of American life. Above all else, we know this: in America, we don’t worship government; we worship God,” Trump said.
