‘Last night I came face to face with true evil’: Eric Bolling says man harassed him at restaurant over son’s death

No surviving parent grieving the loss of a child should ever have to endure what former Fox News host Eric Bolling went through Wednesday night. While dining at a Washington, D.C. restaurant, Bolling says he came “face to face with true evil.”

“A guy who appeared to be talking on his cellphone walked by our table,” Bolling remembered, “and turned towards us and said, ‘Eric Bolling’s son killed himself because he was embarrassed by his dad.’”

Pure evil

“It was a drive-by hit on me using the most hateful words a human being can deliver to a grieving father,” he explained. Watch as Bolling, now a host for BlazeTV, recounts the horrific incident:

Eric Bolling CONFRONTS Man Who Made Despicable Comments About His Late Son

On March 20, 2019, Eric Bolling was sitting with some friends at the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C. when a man walked by his table and said, loud enough for them to hear, Eric’s son “killed himself because he was embarrassed by his dad.”

Eric Chase Bolling Jr. died of an apparent drug overdose on Sept. 8, 2017. An autopsy revealed that his death was accidental, resulting from “mixed drug intoxication,” or a deadly cocktail of cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and opioid painkillers.

An acquaintance who spent most of Sept. 6 with Bolling Jr. told authorities that Eric “made the comment that he thought the Percocet might have contained fentanyl,” and that “fentanyl is 50 times stronger than heroin and it could kill you.” A female acquaintance found the 19-year-old dead in his apartment the following day.

The same woman told authorities that Eric was “always a very happy and positive individual” and “never talked to her about being down or expressed any desire to hurt himself.” Nevertheless, it must have hurt deeply for the elder Bolling to hear someone blame him for his son’s death.

Not going to take it!

However, Bolling wasn’t about to take this harassment sitting down. Bolling followed his tormentor out of the restaurant, where he confronted him.

“Now I chased him down and yelled whatever comes to the mind of man who’s just been told his only son killed himself because of him,” he explained. “Yup, I used some bad words.”

That’s when an enraged Bolling discovered a second man “lurking” nearby with a camera, apparently ready to film his reaction to the insult. “He had this disturbing huge smile on his face, even after I mentioned Eric Chase being dead,” Bolling explained. “These men are despicable people.”

“Last night I came face to face with true evil,” Bolling said. “Over politics, folks, have we all lost our collective minds?”

Faith restored

Bolling believes that his harassers wanted to silence him over his conservative beliefs and support for President Donald Trump. However, the political analyst says he had his beliefs re-affirmed by the experience.

“God bless President Trump, God bless his supporters, God bless the United States of America, and godd*mn those among us, who use hate to fuel a political agenda,” he concluded.
