Don’t Be Fooled: Democrats Have Long History Of HATING JEWS, Republicans Largely Pro-Israel

Ilhan Omar, the Somali-born Democrat running for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, is widely expected to win her race despite history of making statements condemning Israel and Jewish people, many of which have been seen by many as hurtful and anti-Semitic.

In one instance, Omar, who is a practicing Muslim, took to Twitter in 2012 to say that “Israel has hypnotized the world,” and prayed that Allah would reveal “the evil doings of Israel.”

Omar’s comments came in response to Israeli military action against Palestinian targets in the Gaza region during the 2012 time period.

When Omar was called out for her tweet in May of 2018, she said that her condemnation of Israel was “far from hating Jews,” and harshly condemned a Twitter user for criticizing her statement.

“These accusations are without merit. They are rooted in bigotry toward a belief about what Muslims are stereotyped to believe,” Omar said in July, as her campaign for the House continued.

With November midterms now less that two weeks away, Omar is predicted to win her district in a decisive victory.
