How far is the media willing to drag a story that was dead on arrival?
Melania Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham responded on behalf of the First Lady to allegations that President Trump had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006, writing that the Slovenian-born former model is “focused on being a mom,” NBC News reports.
The First Lady notably stayed out of the fray. Grisham told NBC News “She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects.”
In a tweet, Grisham, likely alluding to Stormy Daniels’ Sunday night interview on “60 Minutes,” reproved the mainstream media for its coverage of “salacious gossip” and asked journalists to keep the First Couple’s 12-year-old son, Barron, “out of” the news.
While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious gossip, Id like to remind people there’s a minor child who’s name should be kept out of news stories when at all possible.

The White House also responded to the “60 Minutes” interview, in which the adult film star claimed she was threatened with physical harm if she went public with her story.
“With respect to that interview I will say the president strongly, clearly and has consistently denied these underlying claims and the only person who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims,” the Washington Examiner quoted deputy press secretary Raj Shah at Monday’s press briefing.
“He has denied the accusations that she made last night and has been consistent in doing so,” Shah added. “She has not.”
Grisham did not elaborate on what “projects” Mrs. Trump is currently undertaking.
The First Lady has supported a number of charitable causes since assuming her role, most recently holding a meeting this month with representatives from social media giants to tackle the issue of cyber-bullying.
Many of the president’s supporters have defended his wife amid the Stormy Daniels allegations, arguing the story is of little news value and that the media has given it focus merely to humiliate the president’s wife.
At what point does the non-stop “news” coverage of a porn star evolve from barely-relevant clickbait to indefensible abuse of the First Lady? Feels like we’re there. @andersoncooper @60Minutes @CNN

This Stormy Daniels story is going to backfire big time on the Democrats and the media. Voters will see there is no purpose for promoting the story except to try and hurt the First Lady, who has done nothing to deserve it. @CNN and @MSNBC should be ashamed.

The Stormy Daniels made up scandal is a sick and deliberate attack of our first lady

Nobody elected Trump to be their altar boy.
Nobody who voted for Trump was unaware of his behavior.
The media is fixated on Stormy Daniels because they KNOW it’s hurting Melania, and nothing more. Stop bullying our First Lady. #StormyDanielsDay

Regardless if stormy is telling the truth, what is the relevance? She says it was concensual. This is an ambulance chaser trying to shake down trump. More than that it’s an assault on our first lady! The left are dirty scumbags, anti American and we would do well to erase them

The Left knows nothing politically will come of this Stormy Daniels story.
This is about going after Melania and the family… whether true or not. That’s how vile the Left is.

I’m done with it. This garbage has gotten far too much air time. I refuse to even give it any more twitter time. Will not be retweeting anything more about Stormy Daniels! Can you even imagine how hurtful this is to our beautiful First Lady? I’m done with it. Move on to #MAGA.🙏
