President Trump’s latest act has left conservative commentator Ann Coulter fuming.
Coulter unloaded on the president on Twitter Friday following news of signing the the $1.3 trillion Omnibus spending package.
“CONGRATULATIONS, PRESIDENT SCHUMER!” the author of “In Trump We Trust” tweeted, referring to the Senate Democratic leader.
CONGRATULATIONS, PRESIDENT SCHUMER!

Trump had threatened to veto the bill “on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.”
Hours later, he did sign the spending measure.
MASSIVE DEFENSE SPENDING to induct transgenders & build BIG BEAUTIFUL walls … in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia.

IT’S 3-D CHESS! (There’s never going to be a wall.)

The bill’s reversal of military spending cuts apparently swayed the president.
“My highest duty is to keep America safe,” Trump said. “Nothing more important.”
GOOD GOD! Will @realDonaldTrump talk about ANYTHING but defense spending???? Per Obama: The 1980s called & they want their foreign policy back.

This would be like Reagan signing a bill that hiked taxes, slashed defense spending — but spent gobs of $$ on the Teapot Dome scandal.

Coulter also aimed at Trump’s comment during the bill signing Friday that he would “never sign another bill like this again.”
“ I will never sign another bill like this again”
Yeah, because you’ll be impeached.

Coulter has been critical of the president in recent months, calling him out for not following through on promises to reduce illegal immigration and build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Her remarks echoed many who were disappointed with Trump for signing the massive spending bill which does not fully fund the border wall, provides large amounts of funding to foreign countries and gives $500 million to Planned Parenthood.
Amanda Carpenter, the former communications director for Sen. Ted Cruz, told CNN’s Jake Tapper that it would have been “pretty good politics” if Trump did veto the bill, adding that his supporters are “heartbroken.”
“He is trying to have it both ways. But Republican voters who believed that Donald Trump would be the one to finally give them the wall and deliver that promise are heart-broken,” she said on “The Lead” Friday.
“I actually thought it would have been pretty good politics if he did veto the bill under the pretense of wanting to secure DACA but actually getting funding for the wall. I thought that was pretty brilliant if he had the nerve to go through with it but he caved,” she added. “And the Republican base voters can see that he caved and now Republicans are going into the mid-term with three things to brag about. You have the tax bill, some regulations cut and you have a judge — I’m not sure that’s enough.”
Trump seemed to begrudgingly sign the bill which he had called “ridiculous.”
“There are a lot of things that I’m unhappy about in this bill. There are a lot of things that we shouldn’t have had in this bill. But we were, in a sense, forced to if we want to build our military,” the president said at the White House, according to The Hill.
“I say to Congress, I will never sign another bill like this again,” he added. “I’m not going to do it again. Nobody read it. It’s only hours old. Some people don’t even know what’s in it.”
A veto by the president would have led to a government shutdown at midnight.
The president told reporters that he “looked very seriously at the veto,” but the increased funding to the military “overrode any of our thinking.”
