The Democratic Party has been threatening jail time for anyone who dares to get in the way of their Jan. 6 witch hunt. Their latest target is a former official from President Donald Trump’s Justice Department, Jeffrey Clark.
In its latest capricious move, the Democratically controlled committee on the Jan. 6 Capitol protest approved a criminal referral against Clark for defying one of its phony subpoenas, Fox News reported Wednesday.
“Failure to comply”
Clark had invoked his right against self-incrimination in a letter to Democratic panel chairman Bennie Thompson (MS) this week. The committee voted unanimously Wednesday to refer him to the Justice Department, but they are graciously giving him another chance to testify this Saturday.
All nine members of the committee are strident, anti-Trump partisans, including its only two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney (WY) and Adam Kinzinger (IL).
“We will not finalize this contempt process if Mr. Clark genuinely cures his failure to comply with this subpoena this Saturday,” Cheney said, according to Fox.
If the referral is approved by the House of Representatives, it would then go to President Joe Biden’s Justice Department, where it would almost certainly be taken up by Biden’s aggressively political attorney general, Merrick Garland.
Garland has left many Americans shocked with his enthusiastic prosecution of a “domestic war on terror” that has seen Democrats use the Jan. 6 “insurrection” as a cudgel against Biden’s political opponents, including parents opposed to liberal agendas in classrooms.
Biden’s campaign of repression
Trump ally Steve Bannon vowed to keep resisting the “Biden regime” after getting charged by Biden’s Justice Department for thumbing his nose at the Jan. 6 committee.
The dissident is facing two years in prison on the trumped-up charges, which Garland said show Biden’s commitment to the “rule of law.”
Others to face subpoenas include Trump ally Roger Stone, radio host Alex Jones, and Trump aide Mark Meadows. Meadows will cooperate after getting bullied into compliance with threats of charges, Axios reports.
Despite Biden’s unprecedented campaign of political repression, Democrats continue to insist that Trump and his allies pose a grave threat to “democracy.” Unrepentant Russia hoaxer Adam Schiff (D-CA), who is part of the Jan. 6 show trial, ironically accused Clark of helping Trump “politicize” justice.
“By refusing to appear, he’s violating the law. He will be held accountable,” Schiff said, according to Axios.
