CNN crosses the line: tries to undermine the defense’s case in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial

The left-wing mainstream media is currently trying to undermine the country’s criminal justice.

Reports indicate that CNN, the “most trusted name in news,” just attempted to undermine the testimony of a key witness in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial by having that witness contradict his own court testimony on live television.

Background

The key witness is Gaige Grosskreutz. Grosskreutz is supposed to be a key witness for the prosecution, but he has turned into a strong witness for Rittenhouse’s defense.

Grosskreutz was the only individual that Rittenhouse shot that survived. The incident took place last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where Rittenhouse has said that he traveled to help help the local community during leftwing rioting. Besides Grosskreutz, Rittenhouse shot two other individuals, and they both died.

Rittenhouse took the stand this week and claimed, credibly, that the shootings were in self-defense. The claim was supported by Grosskreutz’s own testimony.

During questioning, Grosskreutz admitted that Rittenhouse only shot him after he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse and after he charged at Rittenhouse. This contradicted the narrative that Rittenhouse shot Grosskreutz while his arms were in the air.

It ought to be noted that Grosskreutz’s testimony was supported by a video of the shooting. The video clearly shows Grosskreutz pointing his gun at Rittenhouse and charging at Rittenhouse before Rittenhouse fires his weapon. So, everything would seem to point toward a self-defense shooting.

The latest

After his courtroom testimony, however, Grosskreutz appeared on CNN. And, there, he and the outlet worked together to undermine his courtroom testimony.

At one point during the interview, Grosskreutz said:

It’s important to note though that the physiology of my wound would be inconsistent with somebody being shot with their arm — and we’ll say, the traditional way that you would point a gun at somebody or some thing — the only way that I could have sustained the injury that I have is if I have been shot with my arms up.

Grosskreutz, during the interview, also claimed that he did not “intentionally” point his gun at Rittenhouse. He said:

I think that, again, in the still photos, it certainly looks like it, but never intentionally. You have to understand that following that gunshot, I had no use of my arm. I wasn’t able to move anything in my right arm or on my right arm.

Grosskreutz, here, was reiterating a claim he made earlier in the day to ABC News, that, if he did point his gun at Rittenhouse, it was only during or after Rittenhouse shot him because he no longer had the ability to control where the gun was pointing.

So, there you have it: the mainstream media actively working to undermine the criminal justice system. We’ll see what comes of it. But, with the mainstream media’s help, things are likely to get ugly if Rittenhouse is acquitted, which after the events of the past week, seems more likely.
