Pres. Biden demands astronomical coronavirus vaccination rate in order for life in the U.S. to return to normal

President Joe Biden just significantly moved the goalposts with regard to the coronavirus.

Now, Breitbart reports Biden as saying that up 98 percent of Americans will need to get vaccinated against the coronavirus before he will allow life to go back to normal.

Biden’s remark came on Monday when he promoted coronavirus vaccine booster shots by getting one himself. Afterward, reporters asked Biden what the vaccination rate would have to be for life in America to return to normal.

“Look, I think we get the vast majority — like is going on in so many – some industries and some schools — 96, 97, 98 percent,” Biden said.

“One thing is for certain,” he added. “A quarter of the country can’t go unvaccinated and us not continue to have a problem.”

Context

The percentage suggested by Biden is significantly higher than what was previously suggested by the likes of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Fauci use to put the percentage at about 70 to 85, although more recently he stopped giving percentages.

To put things into perspective, thus far, about 77 percent of American adults have received at least one coronavirus shot of the vaccine. This is still some distance away from the 96+ percent stated by Biden.

Importantly, polls have consistently shown that the majority of unvaccinated Americans don’t plan on getting vaccinated, no matter what.

More mandates coming

Biden, on Monday, continued his narrative that the unvaccinated are largely to blame for the continuance of the coronavirus pandemic. At one point, he even called it “a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”

Biden, however, did not explain how this is true if vaccinated people continue to contract and spread the coronavirus. He also didn’t explain how having everyone vaccinated, at least with the current vaccines, solves the coronavirus pandemic.

Nonetheless, to reach his goal of having 96+ percent of Americans vaccinated, Biden suggested that he will be putting forth more coronavirus vaccine mandates. This comes after Biden just issued a coronavirus vaccine mandate for employees of businesses with more than 100 workers.

Given what Biden had to say on Monday, it would appear that America might never be going back to normal – at least so long as the Democrats are in charge. Accordingly, it’s pretty clear what has to happen in 2022 and beyond.
