AG Merrick Garland denies any knowledge of Virginia school system’s alleged cover-up of sexual assault

President Joe Biden’s overtly political attorney general, Merrick Garland, was questioned Thursday about the Biden regime’s intimidation campaign against parents of schoolchildren, including one father whose daughter’s rape by a transgender classmate was allegedly covered up by her school.

According to Fox News, Garland denied any knowledge of the alleged cover-up in Loudoun County, Virginia, and suggested he is in no hurry to look into it.

“Not even a close question”

But Garland appeared wary of calling parents who dissent from Biden’s agenda domestic terrorists, as the National School Board Association (NSBA) requested in a recent letter.

“No, I do not think that parents getting angry at school boards for whatever reason constitute domestic terrorism,” Garland told Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), according to Fox. “It’s not even a close question.”

That is not the impression Garland left with a recent memo promising to crack down on an alleged epidemic of “threats of violence” against school officials.

The memo was in response to an NSBA letter that specifically mentioned Scott Smith, whose arrest at a Loudoun County school board meeting in June became Exhibit A in a leftist propaganda campaign painting angry parents as perpetrators of “domestic terrorism.”

The righteously furious dad was tackled to the ground and arrested after he tried to speak up about his daughter’s May 28 rape at the hands of a 15-year-old student who, apparently, identified as female.

Father suing school

The transgender student was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy — one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible fellatio — and allegedly went on to rape another female student on Oct. 6 at a different school after superintendent Scott Ziegler denied any assaults were taking place in Loudoun County schools.

Ziegler notified school board members of the May 28 assault on Smith’s daughter in an email that day, and he later acknowledged that he lied and apologized for stating that “the predator transgender student or person simply does not exist,” as the Daily Mail reported.

Smith, who was sentenced to 10 days in jail — all suspended, contingent on a year of good behavior — on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, is suing Loudoun County and is fighting the “wrongful and unconstitutional” charges, the Daily Mail reports.

Garland plays dumb

But Garland, for his part, denied hearing anything of the widely publicized case, and he did not appear terribly concerned by it. “It sounds like a state case, and I am not familiar with it, I’m sorry,” the AG said, according to Fox. When asked if he is investigating it, he responded, “I don’t believe so.”

When will Garland stop threatening innocent parents, and start investigating Loudoun County for this grave injustice?
