Members of a leftist group have planned to protest at Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home after his support of a Texas law restricting abortion after the unborn child’s heartbeat can be detected.
“Three years ago, hundreds of women, femmes, and allies undertook a month of bold direct action to stop the Senate from confirming accused sexual predator Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. We warned what would happen,” ShutDownDC said on Facebook.
“And now, in the dead of night, Kavanaugh and four of his colleagues have effectively overturned the right to an abortion,” the post continued.
Targeting Kavanaugh
The group decided to choose Kavanaugh as a person who has played a “key role” in the fight against what the group calls “reproductive justice.”
The group’s goal is also clear.

The Facebook event was created by Shut Down DC. The group claims on its Facebook page it “uses strategic direct action to advance justice and hold officials accountable.”
