Pollster: Biden and Democrats are making Trump stronger

President Joe Biden and the Democrats’ attempt to cancel former President Donald Trump is only making Trump stronger, says pollster Jim McLaughlin.

McLaughlin just conducted the McLaughlin & Associates CPAC preference poll. It was taken following last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), which is where Trump gave his first public speech since leaving the White House on January 20th.

The Republican Party belongs to Trump

In a recent interview with Secrets, McLaughlin discussed his poll, including some conclusions that he has drawn from it. But, first, let’s start with a small sample of some of the findings.

93 percent, for example, said that Washington establishment politicians think of themselves as better than ordinary people, which is in line with Trump’s criticism of establishment politicians as “the swamp.”

An overwhelming number of those surveyed – 93 percent – similarly agree with Trump that there was fraud in the 2020 election that helped President Joe Biden to win.

99 percent of respondents said that it is time to get children back in school and the economy back open, which again is in line with Trump. And, 97 percent said that Congress needs to fight harder for conservative policies.

What these numbers show, according to McLaughlin, is that Republicans, or at least the Republicans who attended the CPAC, overwhelmingly stand behind Trump. “His stuff worked,” McLaughlin said. “His issue agenda was a success.”

The Democrats’ plan is backfiring

Since Biden and the Democrats have taken over, they have made it a priority to undo everything that Trump did. According to McLaughlin, this is only making Trump stronger.

“Democrats, mainstream media, Big Tech, and the Washington establishment on both sides of the aisle are trying to cancel President Trump and his supporters, and the poll shows they won’t be silenced and they won’t be canceled,” McLaughlin said. “If anything, President Trump and his agenda are more popular than ever.”

“The more they attack his issue agenda and his people, the stronger President Trump gets,” McLaughlin added.

There is reason to believe that Trump’s popularity could spread beyond his base as well as the country begins to recognize the negative effects that result from Biden’s policy as contrasted with the positive effects that resulted from Trump’s.

It appears that the Democrats with their continued demonization of Trump and his supporters are doing nothing more than sealing their own political fate in 2022.
