Former White House physician issues warning about Biden’s behavior: ‘Something’s not right!’

President Joe Biden has long faced speculation that he is experiencing some level of cognitive and physical decline, but those rumors were bolstered this week with a widely circulated video clip of his fall while climbing the stairs of Air Force One.

Combined with his extremely limited interactions with the press outside of scripted statements, many pundits and even some experts — including former White House physician Ronny Jackson — are sounding the alarm.

“Hiding from the public”

Now a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Texas Republican cited what he called a “MAJOR red flag” regarding the president’s recent actions.

Jackson, who was the presidential physician for former Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, tweeted on Sunday that he understands the toll it takes on those who occupy the Oval Office.

“I’ve seen what it takes physically AND mentally to do the job,” he wrote, focusing on “the way Biden is hiding from the public” as a sign that he is unfit.

He reiterated his point by adding: “Something’s not right!”

Johnson’s latest tweet was not the first time he has referenced his own professional background in reference to the perceived health of the president.

“They never talked to me that way”

Prior to last year’s election, he raised very similar concerns, stating in October that he was “pretty familiar with what it takes both physically and cognitively to do that job and what the demands of that job are,” going on to conclude that Biden does not appear up to the task.

“As a citizen, not as a candidate running for Congress, but as a citizen of this country, I’ve watched Joe Biden on the campaign trail and I am concerned and convinced that he does not have the mental capacity, the cognitive ability, to serve as our commander-in-chief and our head of state,” he said at the time.

Biden’s defenders have brushed off any such accusations and the White House insisted that he is fine after he tripped on the steps. As for his controversially long wait before granting the press a solo news conference, Biden has lined one up for later this week — more than two months after he was sworn in to office.

Former President Donald Trump told viewers of that press conference to keep their expectations low.

“It’s ridiculous the questions that are asked,” he said of Biden’s treatment by reporters. “What did you have for dinner? What kind of ice cream do you have, as he walks out? They never talked to me that way. That’s OK.”
