Fox News’ Steve Hilton calls out Kamala Harris over silence on sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo
During her time as a California senator, Vice President Kamala Harris was quick to seize upon allegations of sexual misconduct lodged against then-President Donald Trump as well as Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearings.
In light of that fact, Fox News host Steve Hilton called out Harris for her complete silence against recent sexual harassment allegations against Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Where is Harris on Cuomo allegations?
During an appearance Friday on Fox News’ Outnumbered, Hilton slammed Harris for her “grandstanding” over Kavanaugh, especially compared to her silence on Cuomo.
Earlier this month, Cuomo was exposed for his coverup and fatal mishandling of nursing homes in the state last year during the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, he is facing detailed accusations of multiple instances of sexual harassment from a former staffer named Lindsey Boylan.
While Outnumbered host Harris Faulkner noted there were some Democrats who had come out in support of Boylan’s accusations and had called for an investigation, Hilton suggested those voices were too few and that the one person everyone needed to hear from was Vice President Harris.
“Of all the people during that Kavanaugh circus, wasn’t she the one that was the biggest grandstander, the most aggressive in making those arguments?” Hilton said in reference to Harris’ vociferous pursuit of any allegations, vague and unsubstantiated though they may have been, against the future justice.
Nothing more important than politics
Hilton continued, “Look at her track record. Over and over again, Kamala Harris has shown that there is nothing more important to her, no principal, nothing that she believes in, including this kind of abuse allegation, that is more important to her than her own political prospects.”
“She used the Kavanaugh hearings, that whole circus, to advance her own political prospects within the Democratic Party,” he said.
Hilton also remarked on Harris’ time as district attorney of San Francisco and shared the documented reports of how she covered up the findings of an investigation by her predecessor into the sexual abuse of children by the Catholic Church, likely due to the fact that she had received donations from prominent figures in the church.
“That is what Kamala Harris is all about. There is nothing more important to her than politics,” Hilton said. “And you see it playing out here as well, where she will not take a stand that she previously did, if it means interrupting support from or to other Democrats.”
“It is completely disgraceful,” he added. “But unfortunately, it is a pattern with her. I think we should all be focusing on the vice president. What is she going to say about this?”
