Joe Biden is proving that he can’t withstand a tiny fraction of the media scrutiny President Donald Trump has been dealing with for the past four-plus years.
When Fox News correspondent Steve Doocy asked Biden about the investigation into son Hunter Biden’s business dealings, the president-elect couldn’t resist taking him to task for his impudence.
“Mr. President-elect, do you still think that the stories from the fall about your son Hunter were Russian disinformation and a smear campaign like you said?” Doocy asked on Tuesday as Biden wrapped up a press Q-and-A in Wilmington, Delaware?
“Yes, yes, yes. God love you, man. You’re a one-horse pony,” Biden answered as he left the stage. “I promise you my Justice Department will be totally on its own, making its judgments about how they should proceed.”
Biden avoiding questions about Hunter
Biden has largely refused to answer questions about an at least 2-year-long FBI and IRS investigation into Hunter’s overseas business dealings, and what he has said has been vague and short on facts.
The president-elect has said he’s “proud” of his son, that he is “confident” that Hunter didn’t do anything wrong, and that his political enemies are spreading lies about him and his family.
Meanwhile, he has given no specific denials that the laptop found in a Delaware computer shop did belong to Hunter Biden or that the emails it contained were anything but true and factual.
And largely, the media has been letting him get away with trying to ignore the whole situation, even though he is implicated in the emails as getting a payout from a Chinese state-owned energy company.
Biden already caught lying
The emails also caught Biden in a blatant lie from the campaign trail, where he said he was not involved in any of Hunter’s business dealings and had never met with any of Hunter’s business associated.
The story about Hunter Biden’s laptop and business dealings was largely suppressed by the mainstream media and social media, which quickly moved to censor the one newspaper that dared to break the story, the New York Post.
A poll after the election confirmed that if the story about Hunter’s Chinese payoffs (among others) and Joe Biden’s possible involvement were widely known before the election, enough people would not have voted for Biden to have given President Donald Trump a second term.
Now it looks like we are probably going to get stuck with a corrupt and compromised president in January–or worse, he will soon be forced out for health reasons or because of this growing scandal and his equally corrupt but even more radical vice president will be running the country, likely right into the ground.
Just when you thought 2021 couldn’t be any worse than 2020.
