Jim Biden doesn’t want to answer any questions about the Biden family business.
The brother of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden waved away reporters from Fox News on Wednesday, a day after a former associate went public with damning evidence of Joe’s involvement in international business dealings.
“Will you stop bothering me?”
According to a report from Fox, the network’s journalists pressed Jim Biden about recent details shared by former Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski in an interview Tuesday with Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The reporters caught Jim pulling into a driveway in a Jeep outside of a Maryland home. His identity was confirmed by a neighbor.
Clearly miffed, Jim Biden walked to the door before turning around and addressing one of the reporters. “What are you talking about?” She kept pressing. “Will you stop bothering me?” Jim Biden pleaded.
“I don’t want to comment about anything,” he added, according to Fox.
Bobulinski, for his part, claims that he met with Joe Biden at the invitation of the now-former vice president’s brother and son Hunter in 2017 to discuss a business venture with a Chinese company. Bobulinski also claims that Jim Biden referred to “plausible deniability” when asked if the family was concerned about the risk to Joe’s career.
“I remember saying, ‘How are you guys getting away with this?’ ‘Aren’t you concerned?’” Bobulinski told Carlson, according to a separate report from Fox. “‘Plausible Deniability.’ He said it directly to me in a cabana at the Peninsula Hotel.”
Dodging the question
When asked about the “plausible deniability” comment, Jim Biden simply walked inside the house.
It looks like Jim is taking a cue from his brother, who has been trying to dismiss the scandal that began with a leak of his son’s emails this October to the New York Post as an elaborate “Russian disinformation” hoax.
Bobulinski, a Navy veteran, told Carlson that he decided to go on the show after the Biden family smeared him as a Russian agent for having implicated Joe in his family’s business in China, according to a transcript from RealClearPolitics. Bobulinski had identified Joe Biden as the “big guy” in one of Hunter’s emails.
Over the course of a detailed interview, Bobulinski said it was a “blatant lie” that Joe Biden did not know about his son’s business, according to Fox, and that Jim and Hunter Biden were also involved in countries like Romania and Kazakhstan.
As for the presidential hopeful, Joe Biden has not addressed Bobulinski’s claims, which his campaign called a “smear,” Fox notes.
